Recently the EU changed the rules on cookie usage on websites. This means that any site that uses cookies (which is around 90% of all websites!) has to make you aware of the cookies and ask for your consent to use them on your machine.

Cookies aren’t scary, they are mostly used to improve your website experience (shopping carts, remembering things that are useful to you) but we also use them to track where people are visiting from and what pages they visit so that we can see who is interested in our products and where they are from!
